The Honeywell F-125IN turbofan engine.
Improving mission capabilities with lower operating costs for the IAF Jaguar.
The IAF Jaguar has been a key strike asset for India's Air Force since 1979, but has slowly become overweight and underpowered through ongoing avionics and weapon system upgrades. For consideration in the Jaguar re-engining program, Honeywell's F125IN is a high-performance, low bypass-ratio turbofan engine that meets the most rigorous requirements of modern light combat and advanced trainer aircraft.
As an "off-the-shelf" engine solution, the F125IN is designed to drop-fit into existing Jaguar airframes, resulting in an enhanced aircraft with superior mission capabilities, improved pilot safety, and outstanding reliability, with a projected life-cycle savings of over Rs 7,000 Crores (US$1.5 billion).
F125IN will transform the IAF Jaguar and power India into the future.
